great post, danny. thanks for keeping us straight. i will be calling.

also, a third urgent action: the campaign to stop funding the US occupation of iraq (and potential attack on iran).

towards the end of september, congress will vote to fund a potential $145 billion to continue occupations of iraq and afghanistan through 2008. many of your posts have brought to light current military strategies--withdrawing few troops while leaving tens of thousands more, and making promise upon promise to withdraw, with seemingly little intention to actually do so. the bush administration's intent to attack iran is daunting.

calling your congressional rep with these issues (troop withdrawal, occupation funding, potential iran attack) is also incredibly urgent. tell your senator to use minimal funding to bring our troops home, to stop funding the occupation of iraq, to pass legislation to prevent attack on iran.

you can call your senator (numbers are located at www.congress.org) and fax or email house of representative reps (http://www.house.gov/writerep/).

thanks again for your activism, danny.

shanti
katherine

also, a third urgent action: the campaign to stop funding the US occupation of iraq (and potential attack on iran).

towards the end of september, congress will vote to fund a potential $145 billion to continue occupations of iraq and afghanistan through 2008. many of your posts have brought to light current military strategies–withdrawing few troops while leaving tens of thousands more, and making promise upon promise to withdraw, with seemingly little intention to actually do so. the bush administration’s intent to attack iran is daunting.

calling your congressional rep with these issues (troop withdrawal, occupation funding, potential iran attack) is also incredibly urgent. tell your senator to use minimal funding to bring our troops home, to stop funding the occupation of iraq, to pass legislation to prevent attack on iran.

you can call your senator (numbers are located at http://www.congress.org) and fax or email house of representative reps (http://www.house.gov/writerep/).

thanks again for your activism, danny.
