Remembering John Lennon
by Danny Fisher
John Lennon was murdered outside of his home in New York City twenty-seven years ago today.
In gratitude for the influence his life and work have had on my own, I would like to honor the wishes of his widow, Yoko Ono, and do my best today to “think peace, act peace, and spread peace.” One simple way that I can do that here is by posting one of John and Yoko’s most famous pieces of art/activism. You can download the same piece at ImaginePeace.com, and then “print and display [it] in your window, school, workplace, car, computer & elsewhere over the holiday season.” While you’re at the site, you can also read a special message from Ono and watch a new video–both posted today.
Thank you, John. You are not forgotten.
