Stories, Quotes and Commentary on the Tibet Situation from the Buddhoblogosphere

With regard to the situation in Tibet, there’s a lot of great posting going on out there in Buddhoblogosphere.

First, the Center for Buddhist Studies Weblog has gathered a lot of recent news stories about all that’s been happening. I’ve been posting a lot lately, but I haven’t been able to write about every story that has cropped up. They’ve caught more than a few that I haven’t touched on, such as U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s recent trip to Dharamsala to meet with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Incidentally, for consistently excellent coverage of the events in Tibet and China, I recommend that you check in regularly with the Tricycle Editors’ Blog and Precious Metal. Neither of them have missed a trick thus far.

The Interdependent also offers a great collection of quotes from various individuals about all of these events. Don’t miss it.

Lastly, my good pal and UWest college Ven. Rinchen Gyatso offers his reflections on the protests at his blog A Monk Amok. He writes with his usual thought and compassion about the violence:

While I don’t condone the violence that some protestors have used, I also recognize that I have not been a victim of the atrocities visited upon the Tibetan people (or the other minorities who don’t want to be part of the PRC), so I can’t judge them either.
