The Washington Post: Unrelenting Grief Gaining Recognition as a Distinct Psychological Syndrome

The Washington Post reports that researchers have found biological phenomena that appear to help confirm the hypothesis that “unrelenting grief” may be “a distinct psychological syndrome.” It is estimated that about 10 to 20 percent of people “who have lost someone close” experience this condition, which is known colloquially as “complicated grief.”
