The International Herald Tribune: Death and Rebirth for Paying Customers at Thai Temple

The International Herald Tribune reports on Wat Prommanee, a Buddhist monastery in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand, that performs a “cleansing” ritual in which people can climb into coffins and experience “death and rebirth” for a fee. This is an interesting piece on aspects of Thai religion we don’t often hear a lot about.
