One of my heroes, Studs Terkel, has passed away. Perhaps before I leave Chicago, I’ll make a pilgrimage to his favorite spot in the city–Bughouse Square–and leave some flowers.

If you’re a Buddhist chaplain/caregiver, I’m going to have to insist that you read Studs’s book Will the Circle Be Unbroken?: Reflections on Death, Rebirth, and Hunger for a Faith.
