Tell Lloyd’s of London to Stop Underwriting Burma’s Junta

Avaaz.org is encouraging you to contact Lloyd’s of London’s insurers to tell them to stop underwriting Burma’s junta. DO THIS ACTION!

Burma News (11.4.08)

A couple of important headlines today:

  • The Agence France-Presse reports that the junta can’t seem to stay out of trouble: they’re now in a stand-off with Bangladesh over hydrogren gas reserves in the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh has promised to take “all possible measures” to protect their territory.
  • Reuters reports that Cyclone Nargis survivors are now staring down the barrel of a water shortage.
