My Big News
by Danny Fisher
Well, I’m delighted to share with you all that I have finally landed a full-time job (with health benefits and everything). It gets better: the position is as Interim Coordinator of the Buddhist Chaplaincy Program at University of the West in Rosemead, CA, which is one of my alma maters. I’m the first hire for this vital new program–only the third of its kind (after Naropa University and the Institute of Buddhist Studies). I feel really, really lucky to have been offered the chance to contribute to the burgeoning Buddhist chaplaincy movement in this way…and get paid for it! I’m a pretty fortunate fella, and I hope I don’t forget that.
I’ll move back to Los Angeles and start work within the month. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on everything. And if you want to know more about UWest’s program, just follow this link.

Congratulations, Danny, I hope this is the start of many more good things in the future. Looks like you’ll be in LA when I’m there after all.
Congrats, Danny. I get to LA regularly, so hope to see you sometime soon.
Well done Danny. Your dedication to your own education and practice will no doubt serve as a fine model to those you will encounter. Your continued engagement with global issues and your clear expressions of compassion in all those arenas are really inspiring to me personally. Thanks for all your efforts. And I wish you well in your new endeavor.
I’m so happy, Danny!
Couldn’t happen to be better guy…
All the best,
James

Hey, there are cheap flights between LAX and Missoula so perhaps we’ll get to hang out even before Montreal in November.
