It takes two willing parties for peace to exist, just as it takes only one for war.

As Americans, we have survived for 200 years as a nation and become the leader of the free world because we’ve stood up to these evils and put American lives at risk for a greater peace.
Memorial Day is a day when we honor those who have had the courage to act against their own personal self-interests and safety to uphold these beliefs so that the rest of us may live the way we choose. Those who choose to focus only on the mistakes within the greater effort need to look more closely at their own failings and personal biases before pointing out those of others.
