Here’s the latest on what’s happening in Burma:
The Agence France-Presse reports that the junta’s high court has set a date for a hearing on Nobel Peace laureate and Prime Minister-elect Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s appeal against a ban on two witnesses in her ongoing trial.
The AFP also reports that the junta has “categorically rejected” the European Union’s concerns over “a growing offensive against Karen rebels which has forced civilians to flee to Thailand.”
The Associated Press also reports that asylum seekers from Burma are finding safe haven in Palau.
The AP also reports on celebrity “tweets” for the site 64 for Aung San Suu Kyi. I added my 64 last month. You should too–here.
