Gotta say i like this better. Although perhaps the confusion of the lama boy playing out in front of a Thai temple was intentional. Perhaps….

Yes, I laughed at "The Sickest Buddhist," but yes, I prefer "Lama Boy." The difficulty with satire (as with rap songs that are meant to be ironic) is that to "get it," you have to be fairly well informed about the subject at hand. After I quit laughing at TSB, I started worrying about all the youtubers who, despite the video's title, might see him as either a role model or a real Buddhist….
"LB," on the other hand, doesn't lend itself to that kind of misinterpretation. By recognizing the extent and potential limitations of its audience, it uses the medium more "skillfully."
At least that's what I think.
"The Sickest Buddhist" has got to be better than the "Lama Boy" video, even though my last name is Lama
