With the start of the fall semester here at University of the West, my life has gotten exponentially busier. As result, I haven’t been able to blog as much–which you’ve probably noticed. But, I haven’t forgetten about it and all of you who are kind enough to read what I’ve got to say.
On September 11th, the Chaplaincy Program organized a 9/11 observance on campus. Students, staff, and faculty gathered around the water fountain between the Administration and Education Buildings, and I said a few words. One person shared some thoughts of his own, and then we all sat quietly for about twenty minutes.
Reflecting on 9/11 this week, I really appreciated Norman Fischer’s teaching that was posted to Shambhala Sun Space, as well as the statements and teachings that Barbara O’Brien linked to at her blog.
Yet another year goes by where I feel that I don’t really have anything to add to what I said a couple of years ago.
