Today’s quote is yet another from His Holiness the Dalai Lama, whom I first quoted and wrote a short biography for in this post.  It’s a teaching entitled “My Religion”:

This is my simple religion:
There is no need for temples,
there is no need for complicated philosophy.
Our own brain, our own heart is the temple;
the philosophy is loving kindness and compassion.
