I remember watching him interview HHDL right after Hurricane Katrina, and he kept asking His Holiness, “In your religion, how is it possible that God can let this happen?” HHDL had to keep explaining that God isn’t a central concept in Buddhism. LK just couldn’t grock that. It was painful to watch.
