“Look Mom, I’m On TV!”

In a very odd twist of life, I found myself at the studios of E! Entertainment Television on Wilshire Boulevard today, shooting an interview for an upcoming episode of E! True Hollywood Story about celebrity Buddhist Tiger Woods. I was there at the recommendation of my UWest colleague Dr. Amy Demyan, who will also feature as a “talking head” in the episode. All we know right now is that the episode will air sometime next month. When I know more, so will you.
I’d say “Congratulations,” but I’m not sure if this is actually a good thing or not.
I mean, would I want to be on TV talking about Tiger Woods?
Uh…no.
Better you than me I guess, and so if folks benefit from your presence, then congratulations.

Yer getting famous, Danny Dude. As the old old song line goes (something like), “How we gonna keep him down on the farm, after he’s seen on TV?” Soon, you’re going to be too good for mere us! You’ll be golfing with Tiger, next. Like Mumon, I’m ambivalent about Congrats’ing you.
Never thought I’d watch E! – let alone look forward to it but this is great proof that we just never know …!
