The Next Film to Be Claimed by Us Buddhists?
by Danny Fisher
Anticipation is reaching a fever pitch for Christopher Nolan’s new film Inception, which opens Friday and is his first since The Dark Knight. Set “within the architecture of the mind,” little is known at this point about the plot. That said, clips like the one below (with references to strong emotions and projections of mind) have me wondering how much this movie will resonate with those of us interested in the intersection of Buddhism and film…

I am amazed more people have not commented on this post of yours. Nolan’s film is definitely one of the most “Buddhist” films that I have ever seen. It builds on one of the most elementary Buddhist truths, the fact that the way we experience the world around us is nothing but an illusion created by the mind itself. I wrote a review on Flixster about it… if you’re interested you can find the link on my blog.
keep up the good work!
