A Gift of Dharma for 9.24.10
by Danny Fisher
Today’s quote comes from Siddhartha Gautama (circa fifth and/or sixth century B.C.E.)–the historical Buddha and de facto progenitor of the Buddhist religions. This is it:
Monks,
I know of no other single thing of such power
to cause the arising of wholesome states,
if not yet arisen,
or to cause the waning of unwholesome states,
if already arisen,
as appamada, “care.”
