New York-based Burmese artist George Tun Sein’s meditative abstract compositions employ color fields and gestural elements that transcend cultures. His well-balanced harmonies appear effortless and resonate with a gentle but powerful palette. Gradual Rhapsody, a solo exhibition of his paintings, will be featured at Tally Beck Contemporary Gallery from July 7 to August 30, 2011. An opening reception will be held at Tally Beck Contemporary on Thursday, July 7 from 6 till 10 p.m.
