Ven. Hong Yuan Refuses Plea Deal

Last month, I blogged about the plight of Ven. Hong Yuan – the Buddhist nun fundraising for her destroyed temple who was arrested on New York’s Canal Street for “acting as unlicensed vendor.” Arun at Angry Asian Buddhist has the latest.
Interestingly, Cyrus Vance’s other twitter address, @CyVanceforDA, has this little bio: “As Manhatta’s new District Attorney, I will be guided by two questions: Does it make us safer? and Is it fair?” Hmmmm…
