A Visit from Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi

This photo was taken by one of my students at University of the West, Niphon Suk, during Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi’s visit to our campus last week to speak with students in our Buddhist Chaplaincy and Religious Studies Departments.

I was thrilled and touched that Bhante took time out of his busy schedule to teach and converse with our students.

Someone recorded the visit on video, and, as soon as that appears, I’ll share it with you all. In the meantime, I just wanted to share Niphon’s lovely shot of Bhante.

Bhante, as I’ve mentioned many times before, is the well-known and prodigious translator of Pali Buddhist texts into English, and founder of Buddhist Global Relief, the visionary, Buddhist-inspired humanitarian organization that contributes to relief and justice efforts worldwide. I’ve interviewed him many times before, and you can find those interviews hereherehereherehere, and here.

Thank you, Bhante!
